Welcome to the website of the Manitoba Fencing Association, home of the Manitoba Golden Blades provincial fencing team.

The MFA consists of five fencing clubs in Winnipeg, each specializing in one or more of the three weapons of foil, epee and sabre.

This website has been recently redesigned, and we are currently in the process of populating our new pages.  Please bear with us while we grow our site.

 

CANADIAN SELECTION CIRCUIT AND SENIOR NATIONALS

The Canadian Selection Circuit and Senior Nationals Tournament was held in Ottawa from November 26 - 29, 2009. Congratulations to Manitoba fencers Daria Jorquera Palmer, who won SILVER in Senior Women's Epee, and to Camilla Tang, who won BRONZE in Junior Womens Sabre!  Other top finishers include Adrien Dessens (6th in Junior Mens Foil and 9th in Senior Mens Foil), Adrien Sparling (7th in Senior Mens Sabre) and Adrien Symons (9th in Junior Mens Foil).

WESTERN CANADIAN FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Western Canadian Fencing Championships were held in Winnipeg on May 1 - 3, 2009.  Competition was fierce, and the result was a weekend of great fencing and good fun!  Thank you to all who participated, either as competitors, as officials, as volunteers, or as a combination of the three.  Your contributions helped make this tournament a huge success.
